Expectations

Students are expected to follow all district and school rules and procedures- Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible.
In our fifth grade class, students are to exhibit positive character traits and make good choices to become caring, productive, and positive citizens in our community. They are to be respectful listeners and follow directions. Additionally, students are to listen respectfully in class to others and allow one student speak at a time. Fifth graders are to work cooperatively in groups and help bring the best out of each other. Students are expected to turn in neat, quality work at all times.  Students are expected to give their 100% effort and strive to be at their personal best.

Our Classroom Rules:
1. Respect yourself and others.
2. Listen and follow directions the first time.
3. Raise your hand before speaking.
4. Display good manners.
5. Be prepared, and always do your best.

Some of my favorite quotes from Coach John Wooden are:
" Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming."
"Failing to prepare is preparing to fail."
" Be true to yourself. Help others. Make friendship a fine art."
" Make each day your masterpiece."
